Nuggets vs. Timberwolves score: Game 5 live updates, highlights with series lead

The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets will meet on Tuesday night for Game 5 of their second-round NBA playoff series. The series is tied at two apiece as the away team has won all four games. But the Nuggets have won the past two meetings and now are poised to take the lead in the series when it shifts to Denver on Tuesday night.

Jamal Murray — listed questionable for Tuesday — is moving better on his sore left calf and is scoring like he did in last year’s postseason. He notched 19 points on Sunday, which was highlighted by his 55-foot halftime buzzer-beater in Game 4. His performance wasn’t lost on Wolves’ Anthony Edwards, who had some choice words after the game.

Three-time MVP winner Nikola Jokic filled the stat sheet for the Nuggets with 35 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Edwards went off for Denver with 44 points while Aaron Gordon lit it up with 27 points on 11-for-12 shooting, to go along with seven rebounds and six assists.

If this road team winning trend continues in this series, Minnesota will be one step closer to its first Western Conference finals since 2004.
