Knicks vs. Pacers score: Live updates, highlights from Game 5 as New York tries

It’s Game 5 for the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night in their second-round NBA playoff series. Indiana won the past two games to even the series 2-2, but it shifts back to New York for Game 5. The Pacers, the No. 6 seed in the East, crushed the second-seeded Knicks on Sunday, leading by as many as 43 points before rolling to a 121-89 victory. It was the most lopsided playoff loss for New York since 2012.

The Knicks will try to regain some momentum in the series, but they will have to do it without injured stars Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, Bojan Bogdanovic and OG Anunoby. The team’s leading scorer, Jalen Brunson, was limited to 18 points last time out. He is playing through an injury and will be asked to do even more to protect their home court.

Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton and Aaron Nesmith, who both rested during the fourth quarter of their Game 4 win, combined to score 28 points on 12-of-23 shooting while pulling down 18 rebounds on Sunday. The Pacers have never come back from being down 0-2 in a playoff series. If they can win Game 5, they will be just one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since the 1999 season.
